Big Infographic Sign(s) for Mudworks

Those who know me know I love a good hobby - I pick up crafts pretty regularly, but nothing has taken over my free time like ceramics! I love working with my hands, I love the unpredictability of the kiln, I love the personal touches and charming imperfections come with each handmade piece.

A big part of my love of ceramics is my local community ceramics studio Mudworks! I’m thrilled to share another large sign I painted for the studio, showing beginner potters a step-by-step guide to throwing pottery on the wheel.

This big one was painted on two 6 ft by 2 ft boards, and they’re mounted end-to-end to look like a single sign. I painted the edges of the wood as well, because the wood was unfinished and I wanted it to look polished from the angle at which it’s viewed.

I also designed this sign, with direction from the studio owner Hannah. I think it looks great in the space and hopefully helps new potters get the hang of the process!
